Within seconds of seeing the outside of your home, people form an opinion of its condition.  This is especially true if those people are buyers!  They will spend the rest of the visit looking for confirmations on their opinion.  The front yard is an area where work doesn't sell!  The yard needs to be neat and tidy, and if it is overgrown buyers think they will need to do yard work every weekend.  Your yard needs to be well cared for and presented.

Even if you are not selling your home, why not have the first impression of your home be a lasting one.  Do you want your home to look like the others on the block, or stand our in the crowd? 

The first thing you need to do is have a good look at your home from the street.

• Can you see through the trees and shrubs?
• Are the doors and windows in good repair?
• Could the house use a paintjob?  Do you need help choosing a color?
• Are the flowerbeds free of weeds and attractive?
• How much clutter is there?
• Are there enough lights for guests to find their way to the front door?
